Each year, the Business School’s Innovative Learning & Teaching Team (ILT) invites staff from the Business School and all other Faculties to take part in two major forums, the Teaching Forum in semester one, followed by Learn Do Share semester two. The key difference between the two events is that the Teaching Forum has a general focus, whereas Learn Do Share has a specific technology-based focus.
Please register to save the date and indicate your desire to attend. A programme will be sent out once this has been finalised, along with a registration reminder.
Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to propose delivering a presentation. This event is open to a wide range of possible topics, as long as there is a clear relationship to the use of technology in somehow enhancing teaching and learning.
A particular interest this year are presentations that relate to the University’s 2020 Assessment Policy and the Graduate Profile project. For example, there are certain capabilities that Departments are finding somewhat harder than others to teach and assess, especially at the individual student rather than team level, and especially in class sizes of anywhere from 100 up to 1700. These capabilities include oral communication, engagement, independence, and integrity. Are there technology-based examples or solutions out there for enhancing the delivery of such capabilities within our courses?
